Privacy may be achieved by reducing the visible
light transmission of the glass (making it darker) or
increasing the reflectivity (making it mirror like).

The darker the film you install, the more visible light you will block.  The more reflective the film, the harder it will be to see in.

Keep in mind that window films will not provide privacy at night, when it is dark outside and the lights are on inside.  In fact, the privacy effect can actually reverse at night.

For double pane glass, choose any Silver Reflective
film, or Neutral Grey film lighter than 20%.  On single pane glass, choose Silver Reflective or Dark
Non-Reflective films such as 5% or 20%
